Following extensive collaboration and consultation in 2014, Hurstville Public School has set its directions for the next three years.
The School Plan 2015-2017 will be the blueprint for improving outcomes for our students. It reflects the innovation that is necessary to equip our students, staff and community with the emerging skills that will be essential for their future in an ever-changing world.
Research tells us that academic skills and knowledge are no longer enough to guarantee success: learners need new skills and abilities to sit alongside their knowledge so that they can effectively communicate what they know and use their knowledge creatively, collaboratively and critically.
As a community, we have also confirmed that high-level personal and interpersonal skills are essential for our students to live happy, fulfilling and resilient lives.
The School Plan 2015-2017 clearly identifies our priorities and strategic directions for the coming years. It is not intended to list everything that we will be doing; rather, it shows the things we will be doing differently or for the first time as we strive to improve the school experience and learning outcomes for all students at Hurstville Public School.
