Hurstville Public School provides three bands - a Training Band, a Concert Band and a Wind Orchestra - through which selected students progress as their skills and talent develop.
The dedicated tutors and conductors from Engadine Music Centre provide a stimulating, structured music education program for the students. This program welcomes beginner students and helps develop them into confident young musicians.
To join a school band, students must make a commitment to: attend the one hour rehearsal with their band and a half hour tutorial with a small group of like instruments; and set aside time to practise at home.
Students participate in performances thoughout the year and gain valuable experience and feedback in performing as a band.
