Stories and highlights
There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.
A year at our school 2026
Year 3 have had a wonderful start to the year.
We have begun exploring the book Flat Stanley by Jeff Brown, using it as a model to learn about the structure of a narrative, including setting, characters, problem and resolution. As part of this exciting unit, students have designed their own “flat” characters, which they will take on imaginative journeys to inspire and develop their storytelling and writing skills. We are so proud of their creativity and positive start to the year!
Year 5 have made a fantastic start to 2026.
In Mathematics, our Year 5 Opportunity Classes have been enjoying an exciting collaboration with students from Sydney Technical High School. Together, they have been solving complex mathematical problems using a range of strategic approaches. This partnership has provided a wonderful opportunity for students to challenge their thinking, share ideas, and learn new problem-solving techniques in a supportive environment.
Kindergarten.
Kindergarten enjoyed their first sports session in the hall this week as part of our gross motor program. Students participated in a range of fun activities including riding scooter boards, practising pencil rolls on the mats, balancing beanbags and developing their throwing and catching skills. These activities help students build coordination, balance and strength while encouraging confidence and teamwork.
